15 Gardens + 12 Huge Photos of Luddenden
The Conservation Society would like to invite you to the Luddenden Open Gardens and Heritage Day on Saturday, June 27th.
There will be 15 gardens open, from 12 noon until 5pm in most cases, with approximately equal numbers up both sides of the valley, and free transport carrying people around to these. There are a number of gardens which have not been on display previously, and tickets will be available beforehand from members or by ringing 885141.
Tickets cost £3 in advance or £4 on the day.
In addition, there will be 12 large, historical photographs on display of Luddenden 'as it used to be'. These will be sited at the place from which they were taken. Each photo had been scanned in and printed out at A0 size (119cm × 84cm or 33" x 47").
Tickets can be purchased on the day from the car park on Luddenden Lane, together with a programme of the gardens which are open. Refreshments will be served in some, and the minibuses will run at approximately 15 minute intervals from the car park. There will also be a booklet showing the whereabouts of the photographs, and a description of them, available at the Car Park.
